Plastics Action Fund Phase 3
The third intake of the CleanBC Plastics Action Fund will support novel plastic waste reduction projects across the province promoting the development of a circular economy in B.C.
Funding will be provided under three streams, each targeted at specific business stages, models, and community types.
- Stream 1 will provide funding for post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) processing and manufacturing projects.
- Stream 2 will provide funding for reuse and repair businesses and systems that reduce and prevent plastic waste.
- Stream 3 will support projects led by communities and organizations which identify as First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit.
A portion of the total overall funding will be reserved explicitly for projects in remote and rural areas. This funding will provide development support and project financing for start-up and early stage businesses.
The Plastics Action Fund is administered by Alacrity Canada and circular economy subject matter experts from Synergy Foundation, in partnership with CleanBC.
Applications are set to open in October 2023
