WHAT IS SIXONE LABS?

Sixone Labs is a plastics recycling technology company that is working to change how polyester-blend textiles can be recycled in order to contribute to a circular economy model for textile manufacturing and products.

WHAT DOES SIXONE LABS DO?

Sixone Labs has developed a novel process by which they efficiently break down polyester-blend textiles into their individual building blocks and recycle the composite parts for use in the existing textiles supply chains. Partnering with companies that have substantial garment needs and relatively high garment turnover, Sixone Labs recycles their used items and then works with textiles manufacturers to provide the recycled materials for reuse.

Sixone Labs:

  • has developed a novel process to enable the efficient deconstruction of polyester-blend textiles
  • partners with companies with substantial garment needs and high garment turnover in order to focus their efforts on a small group of high-impact actors
  • works with textiles manufacturers to provide recycled materials for reuse in other products, contributing to a circular economy model in the sector
WHY DOES SIXONE LABS DO WHAT THEY DO?

Sixone Labs is dedicated to solving the global textile waste issue by creating technology that enables the recycling of various blends of textiles. The global clothing industry is a key contributor of waste as post-consumer textiles cannot be recycled using existing commercial methods. Finding ways to recycle used garments could significantly alter the amount of textile-based waste that humans generate each year.

WHERE IS SIXONE LABS?

Sixone Labs operates out of Vancouver, BC.  They currently collect textiles from BC and supply manufacturers worldwide.

SIXONE LABS’ CLIENTS
